ICE Qatar invites you to attend a joint session with Engineers Australia on ‘Qatar Mega Water Reuse Project, IDRIS Programme Solution in the Middle East’ on Tuesday 17 May 2016 at 6:00 pm for registration 6.30pm start. The sesession is hosted by Engineers Australia at- Qatar Olympic Committee building in West Bay.
The IDRIS (Inner Doha Re-sewerage Implementation Strategy) Scheme will provide strategic wastewater infrastructure to serve the Doha South Catchment Area.
The existing catchment is predominantly made up of shallow, small diameter sewers which were intended to serve low density population. Doha South Catchment Area is expanding and the land use is changing, with increasing population density.
The IDRIS scheme allows for construction of a series of Main Tunnels, Lateral Interceptor Tunnels, a deep Terminal Pumping Station and a new Doha South Sewage Treatment Plant which will alleviate the current capacity issues.
